Idle Sundays

I am still coming down from my opening
on November 4th, if I’m honest.

It was such a relaxing, comfortable, wonderful opening with new friends, old friends, family members, and strangers who really appreciate art. There were snacks, beer, and wine; there were just wonderful people of all kinds who really took time to see what I made, asked really thoughtful questions about my process, and just hung out and listened to the playlist I curated for the event.

I will forever be glad that I took this chance to plan and execute my own show. I learned so much, but the biggest lesson I learned is this:

Don’t wait for the gatekeepers to extend you an invitation to the front door of success. Kick the door down and make space for yourself, because you deserve to be celebrated and your art deserves to be seen.

See what I mean?? :)

Anyway, that’s more or less what I wanted to share on this brisk day. My Sunday morning consisted of making bread for this week, grocery shopping, and chopping 10lb. of onions to store in the freezer. I’m planning on cuddling some cats on the couch this afternoon and making creamy pasta this evening, because pasta is decadent.

This week, I will be happy if I can shoot one full roll of film, because starting on Thursday is CULTURE CRAWL!

It’s my first Culture Crawl and if I’m really honest, I’m excited as hell about it.

To schedule a private viewing during Culture Crawl, please click here or shoot me an email. I’d love to see you there.

Have a great Sunday, y’all!
